TO THE JOSEPHS
The Lord has been speaking to me about Joseph. Joseph was someone who was betrayed, abandoned, dishonored, rejected, misunderstood, judged and sold into slavery by his very own blood relatives. He then went through more betrayal and dishonor all alone with no family to stand up for him or defend him.
One of the most disappointing things in life is to be born into a family, but to have to live life without them. However, everything Joseph went through was preparation for his higher calling. Romans 5:1-5 tells us tribulation produces perseverance; perseverance produces character; and character produces hope. Joseph became a man of noble character and hope is what Joseph brought not only to Gods people through the launch of a world wide hunger relief program but to his very own blood relatives when they found themselves in a desperate situation. Joseph could’ve held a grudge but instead he offered grace and mercy that resulted in family restoration.
The Lord is wanting many of you to know just like Joseph, those who failed you, rejected you, judged you wrongly, abandoned you, betrayed you, misunderstood you, will be coming humbly to you one day, just as Joseph’s brothers did asking for forgiveness. Offer grace and mercy as it is the will of God for families to be restored.
After all Joseph went through, in a sudden moment, God turned all those times that Joseph had to weep painfully and privately, into a healing and joyful weeping bringing restoration to him and his family. Genesis 50:17
Joseph came to understand that if he had not gone through all he went through then he would not have received the oil from the crushing, and he would not have been positioned to fulfill his kingdom assignment. Genesis 50:20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.”
Family, God is a Romans 8:28 God. He doesn’t waste anything. He causes all things to work for your good because you are called according to His purpose, just like Joseph.
